Beacon Cove was looking inviting today.
Five divers entered the waters to navigate to the two rocks in the cove. Unfortunately navigation on all our parts was a little out today. We appear to have missed the rocks completely but did find a small reef, the surface of which looked like a garden with various colours and life.
Visability was good and at the turnaround point a enormous spider crab, the largest I have ever seen, appeared. Amazing!!
On the way back another very large spider crab was seen by all of us. Teased him a little and he appeared even larger when he rose up on his rear legs. Time to move on.
When we got back to shore, it was one of those moments we did not believe, "did you see the size of that spider crab?"
A cracking dive
